The theory of motivation in start-ups

Motivation is such an important part of the start-up journey - its the soul thing that keeps founders striving for their ambitious goals and its integral to for their employees to help them.
We've written pieces on motivation theory in start up's before which you can dive deeper into here.
The video below covers the main principles of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation (big words, we know, it took a few takes for James not to get tongue twisted) but this is an important distinction to make when it comes to start-ups, as it's much harder for them to offer extrinsic motivation, and a lot easier for intrinsic.... but we'll leave that to James to explain in the video below 😉
